Rethinking Art and
Architecture

Public art with a difference

Collide is an artist-run public art initiative at the intersection of art and architecture. We incorporate the latest digital and building technologies to create impactful public art.

Our goal is to integrate art seamlessly into the built environment by researching history, people and place and creating circular ecosystems between artists, governments, developers, and architects.

Collide Public Art Initiative is an artist-led public art collective that specialises in the design and delivery of accessible public art outcomes.

Collide helps you create a lasting impression by taking you from vision and concept to development and installation. We connect you with the artist that most speaks to your objectives, bridging the gap between dream and reality.

By working with individual artists, curators and clients, we’re able to generate projects that add to the diversity and scope of public art in the Australasia region.

Our team successfully combines expertise in exploring the historical and cultural significance of place to deliver site-specific interventions in public places that respond to the needs and interests of the local community.

We do this through:

  • Site-specific research

  • Design, research and facilitation

  • Colliding art and technology

  • Creative consultation and direction

  • Community engagement and community participation

  • Creating culturally safe environments
